summer uniform
i’m always trying to find youtube girlies who dress like i want to but whenever i google “minimalism” it’s all clean girl button down striped tshirt what fashion tourists think french ppl wear vibe. i guess what i really mean is having a closet full of clothes that feel lived in, ur jacket smells like cigarettes / pocket receipts and coffee stains on the aforementioned white shirt. i think if a girl needs 1 thing in nyc it’s an overpriced dry cleaner who will actually get the weeks-old stains out.
it’s too hot to wear knee high boots still so i’ve been wearing these sandals every single day - everyone asks if they are the ubiqituous camper but are actually intentionally blank (slightly less ubiquitous?) with a sized up reformation silk skirt and brandy melville wife beater. these basic girl pieces only don’t look too normcore if you pair them with unwashed hair either from the beach or post morning run w/dry shampoo that kind of works. i found this perfume in a boutique in philly when i was embarrassingly early to the julia’s war showcase and it smells kinda sensual and gritty mixed with roses so very post gig smokebreak. i saw this somewhere and maybe it’s sexier to wear perfumes in the season they’re not meant for so i might buy soon?
i really hate high rise clothes even though i don’t have a perfect body. i’ve been wearing the same low rise acne jeans i got when everything on the real real was $20 during the pandemic and i think if you can’t dress like the olsen twins you should at least try to look like laguna beach era kristin cavarelli.
